Tell Your Baby Story

This is a picture of my grandson, Brock Taylor, when he was between 3 and 4 months old. He had a thick, full head of black hair when he was born. It was a little uncontrollable and crazy. However, when his newborn hair began to fall out and his new hair was coming in it took on a new wild and crazy life of its own. We nicknamed him "Wildman Taylor". His hair had grown really long on top and just kept growing on top. All the while, he began getting bald patches on the sides and back where the hair was falling out and coming in lighter. The hair on top of his head stood up and curled over like a pompador. In time it was long enough to do a bad "comb over" to either side. Some of us thought it was kinda cute, but his Dad couldn't stand it any longer and decided it was time to take him to the Barber Shop. Brock sat in Daddy's lap in the barber chair and ever so calmly laughed and smiled as they gave him his first buzz cut. He loved it and everyone in the Barber Shop loved him. To this day, he loves going to the Barber Shop. The barbers all look forward to his haircuts and his stories. Brock jumps up in the chair and tells everyone what's going on in his fun life and, of course, he talks "ball". He loves any kind of ball. We thought he'd never talk and now he won't shut up. He keeps his hair cut nice and short now. No more wild and crazy "(hair)do" and "Wildman Taylor" is "Brock the Jock" now.
P.S. Brock always kept his bedtime, glow-in-the-dark, Winnie the Pooh with him. He never had to worry about his friend, Winnie the Pooh, judging him for having "bed head" or a "bad hair day".

Contest Tips & Guidelines

  • Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple - your baby is the star!
  • Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
  • Center your baby as best as possible in the photo as we will need to crop the image to a square for the site.
  • Upload a horizontal or vertical photo. If you crop the image yourself, make sure you keep a square form.
  • For best results, make your image 400 pixels x 400 pixels at 72 dpi (or "save for web").
  • Tell your friends and family about your entry and tell them to vote for you! Post a link to your entry on your social networking sites, blogs, etc.
