Skateboard cake I made for my son's 16th birthday. I got the great idea from FamilyFun.com

  • 9 inch round cake pan
  • 9x13 inch cake pan
  • 3 16 oz tubs of white frosting
  • wooden toothpicks
  • 4 small chocolate doughnuts
  • 2 Pirouette cookies
  • 4 peppermint candies
  • pastry bag and tips
  1. Cut the round cake in half. Trim the long edges of the rectangle cake so that they are contoured like the sides of a skateboard, then arrange the round cake halves on each end of the 9x13 cake. Using paste food coloring to tint the white frosting decorate as desired.

  2. Use dabs of frosting to attach the doughnuts to the ends of the Pirouette cookies, and then attach the peppermint candies to the outsides of the doughnuts with dabs of frosting.

  3. Position on the cake.
