I made this cake last winter as a Christmas gift to my daughter's teacher

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 boxed cake
  • eggs
  • water
  • oil
  • marshmallow fondant in:
  • black
  • white
  • baby blue
  • orange
  • white buttercream frosting
  1. Prepare 2 boxes cake mix according to directions. Pour into rectangle pan. Prepare other box and pour into oven safe cooking bowl. Allow cakes to cool.
    Frost both cakes with thin layer of buttercream. Roll out blue fondant flat and drape over rectangle. Trim. Do the same with white fondant and drape and smooth over dome cake. Trim excess. Place white igloo on top of blue rectangle. Use back of knife to make ice blocks on igloo

  2. Make igloo entrance with white fondant-press into place.
    Roll balls of white fondant into chubby bowling pins for penguin bodies. Add black layer for contrast. Form beaks and feet and gently push into place.

  3. Place white buttercream frosting into pastry bag-but hole at tip and pipe snow drifts.
