Great Cake Contest

My husband is cuurently deployed and missed our sons first birthday so we had a camo party, he LAV cake s the vehicle my husband uses in Iraq.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

• Box cake
• Regular Icing
• Mini Chocolate donuts
• Cereal Straw

1. Bake your choice of box cake, I used a marble cake mix and dyed part green, chcolate brown and regular cake mix so that the inside of the cake was camo as well. (3 boxes, 2 9X13, 1 8X8 cake pan)

2. Using regular icing I put both 9X13 cakes together and the 8X8 on top of that. I then mixed the remaining icing with dye until I found the color I wanted, I used a green, tan, and brown (chocolate icing). I then Cut the cake to the shape of the LAV. Then use the back of a spoon to help create the random shape of camo all over the cake in the different shade icing.

3. To finish it off I put a Marine toy of my sons in the top and a brown cereal straw out the front and mini chocolate donuts on the sides as the wheels to the vehicle...and your done!
