A cool, easy cake covered in slime!

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
  • - Cake mix (enough to make three layers
  • - Frosting (vanilla can is perfect)
  • - Vanilla pudding mix
  • - green food coloring
  • - assorted candies (candy dots, sour worms, nerds, smarties, skittles)
  • - various, unused science equipment (beakers, test tubes, petri dishes, pipettes)
  1. Bake three layer cakes - whatever shapes and sizes you wish. The bottom layer works best at 9X13, next is a little smaller and top is a small square - I offset and turn each layer.

Use a good base (platter or sheet cake cardboard bought at the grocery store bakery)

  2. Cover cake stack with white frosting and let the decorating begin!

Wrap the side of the bottom layer with the candy dots and place cut strips of the remaining dots strategically around the cake.

  3. Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package directions and add green food coloring until it is a wonderfully shocking color!

Pour it down the corners and sides of the frosted cake, letting it drip and ooze.

  4. Have fun decorating the rest - let your imagination go! Let the worms crawl out of the petri dishes, layer the candies by color in the cool science equipment.

Place the filled equipment around the cake, pushing it in to the frosting/pudding to secure in place.
