My son had a "Mad Science" party for his seventh birthday. I wanted to make a cake that looked like a science experiment gone awry.
- RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

- Cake mix. Three different flavors of Jello. I tried to choose colors that would run together nicely.
Bake the cake according to the directions on the box. Let cool completely. Make each flavor of Jello separately. Let cool until they are gelled, but still runny. Not completely liquid any longer. Cut out the shape of a spill in the cake. Pour some Jello into the cut out section. Also pour some into containers as if they are spilling over. Place in refrigerator and let cool completely before serving.
