Great Cake Contest

Bake your favorite mix in a bowl to make this darling cake!

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

• 1 boxed cake mix (your favorite flavor)
• 1 can ready-to-use frosting
• 1-2 boxes green, foot-long fruit leather
• Green food coloring
• 1 fashion doll in swimsuit (from the dollar store)
• Colored tissue paper and thread

1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Bake at 350, on middle rack, for 30-40 minutes or until cake tests done. Invert onto serving platter and let cool.

2. Tint frosting green and frost cake. Thoroughly wash doll's body with warm, soapy water. Insert doll into center of cake, shortening legs with scissors if necessary.

3. Unwrap and unroll fruit leather. Separate strips along the wavy perforation. Cut each piece to desired length and appy vertically to frosted cake. Continue applying leather in this fashion until cake is covered.

4. Decorate doll any way you wish! To make a lei or flower bracelet, string tiny pieces of crumbled tissue paper on thread and tie onto doll.
