Make 3 cake mixes according to direction on box. Make 3-9 inch cakes and 2-6 inch cakes. Bake according to box directions. Next combine the butter, milk, salt, vanilla, and powered sugar in a large bowl and mix at slow speed until smooth. Next layer the cake with icing in between each layer, then icing the outside of the cake. Next add 1/2 cup of icing in 3 bowls and red food coloring to one and blue to the other and leave one plain white.
Place each color in seperate pastry bag. Using tip 16 pipe stars along the bottom, middle and tops layer alternating colors. When done top with strawberries.
