Great Cake Contest

Using your favorite cake recipe (or Duncan Hines box!) create an awesome Hannah Montana cake.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

• Cake Mix
• 2 cups of frosting
• Food Coloring (red and blue)
• Sprinkles (purple, pink, and yellow)
• 2 tubes of decorators icing (purple, pink, and yellow)
• Guitar-shaped cake pan (optional)

1. Prepare your favorite cake batter using a homemade recipe or your favorite mix.

2. Pour batter into a guitar shaped cake pan. If you're good with cakes, you can also make 2 standard 9 x 13 pans and cut the shape of the guitar our yourself. I recommend the guitar-shaped cake pan for its ease. (And only about $9 at a crafts or cooking store.)

3. Bake the cake according to cake directions; let cool.

4. Meanwhile, mix red and blue food dye with frosting to create purple frosting. Frost the cake in gentle, paintbrush-like strokes.

5. Using colored icing tubes, accent the rest of the cake with yellow, pink, and purple details. You can find a Hannah Montana logo online (or on half of the items in your daugther's room!). Top with colored sprinkles and get ready for the squeals of delight.
