Stand-up Gumball Machine
- RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

- Two of your favorite cake mixes plus ingredients, "ball" cake pan, mini angelfood cake pan, 6" round cake pan, Double Batch (7 cups) of buttercream frosting (butter, shortening, powdered sugar, milk, clear vanilla extract), cardboard, dowel rods, food/frosting coloring
Using one cake mix, make ball cake. Using the other cake mix, make 6" round cake and "angelfood" cake. Make buttercream frosting. Tint half red, 1/4 cup gray, and the rest your favorite gumball colors. Once cakes are cooled, Cut 1" off top of "angelfood" cake. Place 6" cake on cardboard and frost top. Place "angelfood" cake on top of 6" cake and frost top and sides red. Place 3-4 dowel rods, into cake, and cut off 1/4" above cake top. Cut cardboard circle the size of the top of the "angelfood" cake and place bottom of ball on the cardboard. Frost top of the bottom half of ball and place top half on top. Place entire ball on top of round cakes. Place 1" piece cut from "angelfood" cake on top of ball and frost red. Use gray frosting to make dot on top of machine. Frost ball with gumball dots. Pick your favorite side of cake for the front and using gray frosting, make plate to insert coin into. Also use red to make tray for gumball to drop into. Pick your favorite color and make round dot for gumball in tray.
