I made this flamingo cup cake cake for my daughters 6th birthday. She LOVES flamingos! Using cupcakes made it easy to pass out at cake time.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
  • Yellow cup cakes - 1 cup crisco, 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 3 cups flour, 2 1/2 tsp baking pwdr, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup milk, 1 tsp almond extract, 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • White Cream Cheese Frosting - used easy to spread premade frosting
  • Red Food Coloring
  • Pink Candy rings cut in half
  • Green sugar candy ribbons, cut in thin strips
  • Pink sugar candy
  • Brown M&M
  1. Cream crisco, sugar - add eggs, one at a time, beat well after each. Combine dry ingredients and add 1/2 to creamed mixture, blend, add milk, blend, add remaining dry mix, blend well. Stir in extracts. Spoon batter into prelined muffin pans and bake at 375 degress for 20 minutes. Cool.

  2. Arrange cupcakes in shape of flamingo.

  3. Mix red food coloring and white frosting to desired pink color. Spread frosting over all the cupcakes to make the flamingo ALL pink.

  4. Decorate with precut candies.
    Add grass.
