By using my son's small toy dinosaurs, I concentrated on the "land" around them to create this cake.
- RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 1 vanilla cake mix
- 2 tubs vanilla frosting
- 1 tub chocolate frosting
- Crushed vanilla cookies for sand
- Licorice rope for lava flow
- Chocolate marshmallows for rocks
- Mini chocolate chips for scorched earth
- Coconut flake dyed green with food coloring for grass
- Assorted plastic dinosaurs
Prepare chocolate cake as directed in 13 x 9 pan. Prepare vanilla cake as directed in glass batter bowl. Cut down to desired size for volcano. I used about 1/2. Frost entire chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. Dye some vanilla frosting blue for water. Assemble as shown.
