A simple cake using chocolate for decorating.
- RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
-
- Boxed Cake Mix
- White Frosting
- Blue Frosting
- Blue M&Ms
- Chocolate Chips
Start out by making the chocolate decorations so that they harden by the time you need them. On your computer, type out the name that you'd like on the top of the cake, pick a typeface that doesn't have alot of really thin lines. Make sure it's the actual size that you will need it for the cake. Print the name out at 100% in B&W on your printer. Tape a piece of wax paper on top. Pour 1/2 bag of SemiSweet chocolate chips into a small glass bowl. Microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag and trace over the typeface, onto the wax paper. Also make other free-hand swirls or zig zags on wax paper. Put chocolate decorations in a cool place or in the refrigerator. Bake two round cakes. Frost with white icing on the top and then blue around the sides and slightly on top. Decorate with M&Ms and hardened chocolate. Place Chocolate letters onto cake one slightly higher or lower then the other.
