Great Cake Contest

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

• box cake mix any flavor
• white canned icing
• totsie rolls
• pretzels
• mini-marshmellows
• food coloring

1. Make cupcakes according to package directions

2. Color 3/4 of canned icing green, 1/8 red and 1/8 yellow. You could change these amounts to add orange or whatever colors you see in a fire. Ice the cupcakes with green for the grass. Place the red and yellow icing in seperate zip lock bags as close to a corner as you can. Unwrap totsie rolls and place 3 on each cupcake with one end touching in the center. Clip a very small corner off the baggie with the yellow and red icing.

3. "Pipe" a small mound of yellow or red icing on top and around the "logs" in the center of cupcake. Repeat with other color. Break pretzels to form roasting sticks. Put mini-marshmellows on a cookie sheet and 'broil' for a few seconds under hot broiler in oven. If you wish you can let them cool and turn them to get all sides. Put marshmellows on sticks and stick in cupcake!
