Rubber Duckie in a Bath Tub with Lots of Bubbles
- RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
-
- 3 Chocolate Cake Boxes, (batter prepared according to directions)
- 4 prepared packages of Wilton Butter Cream Icing
- Yellow paste food coloring
- Orange paste food coloring
- Blue paste food coloring
- Royal icing
Pour 2 1/2 cups chocolate batter into Wilton 3-D Rubber Duck mold. Bake according to Wilton instructions. Let cool completely. Pour remaining batter into greased 8x11 cake pan. Bake according to package directions. Let cool completely. Remove 8x11 cake from pan. Trim top of cake to 1/2 inch deep leaving 1 inch on all sides of cake to resemble a tub. Place duck in tub and secure with wooden dowels. Trim excess dowel with scissors. Prepare your royal icing. Pipe onto wax paper in the shape of bubbles. Make different sizes. If you get a tip in the center, gently press with your finger. Allow to completely dry. Mix Wilton icing according to package directions. Set aside 1/2 cup icing to color orange. Set aside 1 cup icing to color blue. Set aside 2 cups to keep white. Set aside rest to color yellow. Add enough food coloring until you reach the desired color for each icing. The more vibrant, the better! Carefully spread the blue icing into the tub to resemble water. Spread the white icing on the "tub" making sure to cover the top and sides. Spread orange icing on the bill of the duck. Either spread or pipe the yellow on the body of the duck. Piping gives it a more feathered look. Arrange bubbles anywhere on the tub, duck and water.
