I am much more open and approachable. I will say "I'm sorry" if I lose my temper when it is really not warranted.

i'm not as strict as my mom was but she was a single parent of 5 kids and had to be to keep us from getting into trouble..i only have the 2 boys that i raise with my husband..

I try to listen to my kids more and take time out to talk to them and find out how they are doing emotionally and mentally.
