Usually by the ratings, but sometimes there is still some bad languge.

I usually get my information from viewing it myself first or go by the ratings.

I actually watch what my kid watches and decide immediately from there.

I go partly by the ratings system and partly by what I read and hear about the movie. If I am still uncertain, I will watch it first without the kids.

I go by the rating system. If there is one I think might be okay but is rated for more mature audience, I will watch the movie myself before I let my youngest one watch it.

I go onto family.com and read the reviews. They do a great job telling you which movies are appropriate for which kids. What happened to the homepage link to the movie reviews...

language and nudity.ratings dont always jive with the movies. if i see something inapropriate about to happen kis will have to leave the room for a min.

If they're interested in a movie, I check the rating and maybe watch the trailer. Then, I usually watch it with them anyway (b/c I'm a kid at heart!)
