You're motivated, you're mindful and you're up to the challenge! You just need to make a few minor tweaks to your daily routine. Watch out for "invisible" calories in beverages and oversized restaurant portions, for example, and consider adding some form of metabolism-boosting resistance training to your exercise regimen. But don't force yourself to become perfect all at once, says Carrie Wiatt, nutritionist and owner of Los Angeles-based nutrition-counseling firm Diet Designs, Inc. "Sometimes we put too much on our plates, literally," Wiatt says. For the best weight-loss results, "look online, research the different diets -- don't just jump on the bandwagon like everybody does," she advises. "Thinking about it ahead of time and being more thoughtful will really help you in the long run." To get your diet in gear, join the discussion in the Let's Lose Together Group.
