FamilyHost_Jen - August 04, 2008
Do you you work in an office or a corner of a room? How do you furnish your working space? Mine is covered in kid drawings.

I have a small room in our house designated as my office--I think it's about 8 x 10 or so. It's the most popular room in the house. :o) The other day, I had to climb over my two dogs, my cat, my husband's legs (propped on my desk), and my son to get to my computer. There's a glass door to my office, which is great as a sound barrier, but not so great in that my family stands on the other side and stares at me until I look up from my writing. :o) I threaten to add a curtain, but I haven't followed through yet!

I have a small space dedicated to an office. But I also have my laptop so I can work wherever and hang out with the kids at the same time. There are kids drawings everywhere. They think the office is their art space at the moment.

The newest drawing that "Picasso" (my two year old) has done is to the top of my laptop. She took a pen to make it "pretty" as she explained to me when I asked what happened to it. She then promptly said but look mom I made your mouse pretty too. At least they match now. And who knows when she becomes a famous artist later I have her first artistic works.

LOL that is adorable! I wish she had done herself at least it would have come off, even if it took a few days.

Sad part was that I was right there my back was to her because I was cleaning up some spilled juice. So she was testing to see if I really had eyes in the back of my head I guess lol.
