Since we are home all day yet working... how do you cope with the cleaning. I do a mad dash before work and after... how do you do it?

I've done it with the help of an incredibly understanding husband.

I do the mad dash too.........but most days I have a set time for everything. It keeps me sane for the most part and helps me keep on top of everything.

I so wish I could find a cleaning lady that was priced reasonable ... so far NO luck. So now I end up cleaning all weekend, leaving NO time for me! This is so not going to work for much longer!

I maybe the crazy one here, but I am a little bit of a neat freak, and since WAH,cleaning did take back sit. Soo I started getting up 1hr earlier every day just to do the little stuff like dusting and wipe down bathroom and kitchen. (Gotta clean the bathroom with a little boy who can't seem to aim straight!) And at least 2 times a wk I put a load in the wash right before I go to bed. So far so good ..my desk is probably the messiest spot in the house. Oh well right.

Wow then you are doing a phenomenal job if the only thing in your place that is messy is your desk! I am already up from 6am till 11:30pm 6 days a week. I don't think I can sacrifice another. And with that time between running errands, working, house work, meal prep, driving kids places and the occasional conference call there just doesn't seem to ever be enough time to get it all done.As soon as they fix the whole needing sleep to survive thing I will be great!

I am still working on time mangement. I think the key is doing alittle everyday so housework doesn't get too out of hand. And I try to time myself so I don't get stuck on one thing. I leave the "detailed" cleaning for the weekend. And as for food prep..CROCK POT. I can't live without it. Just dump what you're gonna make and walk away. Love it. Also my son does have some chores assigned to him to help out. Stuff he can handle. I hope it will help me to be responible. And a prize for a job well done is a motivator at his age. Oh I really wish I knew how to clean up that desk!

Crockpots are a lifesaver! We do the chore for their age too and they get an allowance and prize for helping. The double reinforcement works out great! LOL I would post a picture of my desk but you would end up asking where my desk even was!
