Between Visits
FamilyHost_Meredith - January 28, 2009
We all love going to Disney World. Hopping on the monorail - seeing Cinderella's Castle - walking down Main Street. We love it.

But what do you do between visits? How do you tide yourself over? Do you watch your video? Is your photo album by your side constantly? What do you while you're waiting to go back to the happiest place on Earth?

photos albums are good. I have a friend who has a ton of slides and who loves showing slides of past trips. Planning for the next trip is the best way to tide oneself over.

We check WDW websites for park updates, ride closures, etc. We also watch home videos of previous visits (did I really dress like that?!)

We try to do "other" Disney Stuff -- After our last trip to Disney World in April 2008, we went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway in June, then we saw Disney on Ice in December. I used to get my "Disney-fix" by spending time in the Disney store in our local mall, but they recently closed :( so, i will surf WDW website or Allears.net to keep myself informed. I miss being in the middle of Main Street everyday that i'm not there!

We watch our videos and look at our photos. We also watch anything on tv about the Disney parks. We have noticed that around mid-winter, they start showing the Disney shows or documentary-type shows on the Travel Channel giving tips on how to do "Disney On A Dime" which is actually the name of the show. And they also show clips on another show, same channel, of the many different things you can do at the Disney Parks. Samantha Brown also has one on the Travel Channel about her favorite attractions and shows at both DisneyLand and Disney World. We just can't get enough of these shows!
