YAY! My mom will watch the kids on Sunday so I can go be with David (well, not really WITH him) at his 1/2 IM. Then pizza/beer party at our house after!
I rode my bike on the trainer in the basement today. It was nice for once because it has been to darn hot to ride outside, and its a great way for me to workout during naptime. I've got to get outside and do some hill biking before kirkland! Yikes!
I'm back on the wagon! I was going to take the rest of the year off and just have fun watching David, but I decided (as of yesterday!) to take his slot at the Kirkland tri at Carillon Point... hilly bike ride, but I can do it!!
Leaving tomorrow to go to Lake Arrowhead for a week with the family. I plan on getting in some high altitude training along with the rest and relaxation.
IT'S HOT!!!! Too hot to even swim outside, due to instant sunburn factor! Yikes! Off to the YMCA? Its supposed to cool off a bit this week, lets hope so!
This group is today's featured group on the Community Hub. Congrats! :)
Yawn... David is off to ride his 56 miles with his 2 buddies,... only 3 weeks left until Lake Stevens 70.3! They left at 4:45, still dark outside! Yikes!
The thing that got ME started was seeing a 73-year-old woman race by my house on her bike during the 1/2IronMan last year. I thought, "And WHY am I not doing this?" :) My husband has done them since '99. Traveling & watching him is so fun & inspiring, I wanted to play too! Great family times.
How did your family get started in triathlons? I am always in awe of the athletes when I've gone to them.
Clear Lake was great! David got 9th overall and Haylee had a great time (thought she had a small wreck on her bike). Naosn and I cheered for everyone!! What a nice family event. Already looking forward to next year.
