What are you getting your toddler for Christmas? Will they just want the box anyway?? Anybody have any funny toddler Christmas stories?

She gave some items up on Thanksgiving.

A super cute Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Lounge Chair
MM Clubhouse bed tent
Winnie the Pooh Big Coloring Pad
MM Clubhouse Big Coloring Pad
Crazy Cute Holiday PJs they say "What Santa won't bring I'll get from Grand Ma!"
Mickey Mouse Shopping Cart/with food

If you can't guess from this list she hit the sale on the Disney Shopping site.

We have decided on some things we think she is ready for.
A kite
A play kitchen
Finger Paints ( I know we like to live dangerously! )
and A Robot
We don't know what kind of robot yet but she loves them! The pulls the one you get free at Epcot apart and plays with it all the time. I am tired of reassembling it so we thought we should get her a robot of her own. Spoiled Rotten Huh!!!

Do not buy your daughters the Toys R Us exclusive pink bubble mower!! It does not work. It makes a whole lot of mower like racket but no bubbles. Nothing is more disappointing on Christmas morning than a toy that doesn't work.

Thank you for the info. I agree, nothing more upsetting for both the parents and the child.:( I explained to my MIL why I don't want her to buy anything that's an outside toy. I told her it wouldn't be fair to the kids. You can't play in a huge bouncy ball crawl when there is snow everywhere, or, ride a new bike. She got the idea. I told her to save those ideas for Easter and their birthdays. WHEW, I may have gotten out of all kinds of items that take up too much room in my house. I found her a baby doll and baby doll stroller to get her and a bedroom set. She's getting them each their own bedroom set. New beds and all! Yahoo, saves me money and I know they will each like them. One is from Cars and the other is Disney Princesses of course!:)

We just started watching movies together. She really likes Toy Story so I think the world might end if she doesn't get a Mr Potato Head. Tatey Head Tatey Head!! I wish they made a Bo Peep too. She might not be 3 but I think she is ready. We'll just hide the really small parts.

LOL, you are such a mind reader. My hubby and I were just discussing this last night. Everything my mother in law keeps picking out either makes noise or can't be used until Spring. We were on line last night finding things for her to get the little ones that they can play with right away. For our Princess we found a Disney Fairies 3 tier toybox with roll out toy box. It's very cool. It has lots of sections and the big box part rolls out and locks so she can access her big toys. We also found a Laugh & Learn purse that you put shapes into. We decided that the less noise it makes the better. Very disappointed that even the baby toys are all electronic somehow. She plays with her brother's Lincoln Logs but we found out that they go for $30 or more. Can't fathom spending that much on one item. The only time we spend that much on one thing is for the older boys and that's their yearly gift card to Barnes & Noble. One year we didn't get them one and boy oh boy you should have seen the looks of disappontment on their faces. We didn't realize how much they look forward to getting that gift card!
