Pet Peeves
FamilyHost_Jen - May 14, 2009
We all have our family pet peeves ... mine are things like projects that get started and never finished (we won't name anyone in particular). Or the kids leaving a trail of toys and clothes in their wake! Lately I find the kids will turn on the tv downstairs and I will come in to see a cartoon and no one watching it because they are out on the swings. Are there any pet peeves you care to share with us?

Do you really want to start this conversation? I mean, I may not stop LOL. One of my major pet peeves is leaving cups on the table at the end of the day and waking up the next morning and they are still there, or when they grab a new cup. (what was wrong with the first one??) Or not wiping the counters off after they make a mess, husband included. Oh, and why is it that my twist ties come up missing from the bread, and the bread package has been twisted and tucked under the bread?! UGH! I must have a little ghost in my house by the name of I DON'T KNOW because that's who they all blame it on when mom ask who did it.

I have cups and bowls left everywhere ... as a matter of fact I gathered up the empty bowls yesterday afternoon! and ErinL32, I have that same ghost who takes the bread ties! If I had to guess, it's the big ghost!

I have a ton also. Mine include:

1. Not doing exactly what I asked. If I asked for it to be done a certain way there is usually a reason.

2. Asking me to do something after I have already sat down AND made myself comfortable.

3. Leaving messes on the counter over night and not telling me.

4. My step-son asking me something and then becase I say no asking his father knowing he will say yes and that I wont go against his father.

5. Incompetence. At the age of 7 there are certain things you just KNOW to do especially when they are a part of your daily routine. Same goes for 39 yr olds.

6. Toys in the living room, family room, dinning room, or kitchen. Toys belong in the bedroom or outside.

7. Not rinsing dishes out or off.

8. When my step son baby talks because his mom does it to him. I don't believe in baby talk at any age. period.

9. When the house phone rings after 8. My mom is the worst at it.

10. Being unorgainized. I have OCD, I can't help it.

11. When I am asked to buy something at the grocery store and then it is never eaten! Last time I checked throwing money away was a bad thing!

Ok, that's enough. I have begun to rant now lol. I am not really a mean person, just strict. =)

I would love to know what's so difficult about putting dishes in the dishwasher. It's that shiny white square, right next to the sink. You've managed to retrieve your dirty dish and/or cup, walk it into the kitchen, and place it in the silver sink. Is your back so damaged that you cannot bend slightly to the right and place the object in the white door?
