I was just thinking of this same topic the other day! I am not too sure what I do for just me. I always have one of the kids in tow with me everywhere I go. But I am thinking that Me time doesn't have to mean me actually physically going somewhere totally alone, as I love having the kids with me. But Iam thinking bubble baths if I can ever be alone in the bathroom long enough..LOL. Reading, I guess my me time is at night, which is not good either, as I tend to stay up way too late when everyone else goes to bed earlier. Yes I must figure out some ME time that I could look forward to every day or so...what a great group!! Good luck!

Wow ladies, this is SAD.

I can think of things, I just don't know how do to all of them!! So, here are some ideas for ya'll. Maybe even ask you husband to get involved. Opps, forgot, ME time!

Give yourself a : manicure, pedicure, facial - you probably have items to accomphlish this under the sink! Give up Star Bucks for a few weeks and get an hour massage OR trade massages with Hubby! (Pull out the massage chair you got for Christmas a year ago and use it!)

Pour a glass of wine, light some candles, and run the bath water, lock the door, no phones, no kids 30 to 45 mins!!

Put on your favorite music and close your eyes. Zone out for 20 mins.

Do these ideas help??

Every once in a while, not often enough, my husband takes the kids to a movie or the park and leaves me here alone! Now I turn on the radio, get a glass on wine and chill! It's so nice... which reminds me, it's about time he takes the little darlings somewhere this weekend!!

At first I couldn't think of anything, but then I thought of all the times I just had to do something for me and just did it. I've taken bubble baths, locked myself in the office and watched movies on the computer, painted my nails, started on a scrapbook just for me, taken walks, etc. The funniest time was when I shut myself in the laundry room and saw some paints on the dryer. Before I knew what I was doing I did a wall mural that covered an entire wall of the laundry room! It was an ocean scene with an island and a palm tree. My husband came home and snuck up on me. My first thought was "oh man, what have I done? What is he going to say?", but he said he loved it.

I've been trying to get back into anything that is for ME. I recently started a Zumba class; and got myself some discounted massage certificates. (which I have yet to use.)

Well, this year I'm trying to give myself more ME time. And I have actually been accomplishing that. I've been going to Bath and Body Works when they have been having these crazy sales and coming home with tons of stuff (cheap), just for me. Just made myself a mixed CD that I love to play in the car, especially when I'm by myself. And today I bought my WII Fit. So, yeah, it's my year to spend some ME time. I've always been in the mindset of thinking that if I wasn't always doing for others, I was being selfish. I'm finding that it doesn't have to be like that. If I am unhappy, how can I truly give myself to others?? Think about it...
