From your Childhood

I have my blankie, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and my two favorite stuffed toys (woofy and pinky) sitting at the foot of my bed. They take me back to the innocence of my childhood and are very special. What do you have to cherish from your childhood?

My most prized possession from my childhood is my Cabbage Patch doll. I have her placed safely away since sharing a house with two men doesn't lend itself to a lot of doll action. lol

I have my bear. I just couldn't live without him growing up. Even as a teen I hauled him around in my backpack - LOL. Today he sits happily on my daughter's bed.

I have a music box that I always keep prominently displayed on my dresser no matter wherever I've lived. It plays "Singing in the Rain" and I still have some of the trinkets that, as a child, I considered Oh So Valuable but clearly aren't worth anything beyond sentiment. I love to open it up and just listen to the music - it definitely takes me back to a simpler time.

I have 2 very special things from my childhood. My teddy bear, which my daughters now love to sleep with, and my My little Ponies. They were my favorite toys as a kid and my life revolved around them. I tried introducing them to the girls and they aren't very interested yet. lol I'm sure they'll come around though!

I have my baby blanket that my mother's friend crocheted for me. I passed it down to my daughter who used to stick her thumb through the holes and suck her thumb while rubbing the blanket. She doesn't do it anymore but it's still folded at the bottom of her bed.

My little one loves to take my pink puppy that I have at the foot of my bed ... I have to make sure it goes back when she is done. I bet your girls will love the My Little Ponies and you will have to hunt them down like I do with Pinkie!

I have this awesome glow in the dark teddy bear that my dad got me when I was a newborn. It doesn't glow in the dark, but it still sits on a bed....my 3 year olds!
