Apply red lipstick
FamilyHost_Pat - January 05, 2009
Take a look at the step-by-step video (http://family.go.com/hot-topics/article-hw-616334-how-to-apply-red-lipstick-t/) on applying red lipstick. Did you know there were multiple steps? Would you wear red? Do you have time in your day for this?

Does anybody know anything about Mary Kay or Avon products? How they work or even worth the money?
By jillybean_108
I use some of the Avon products... some seem to work better than others. The best thing to do is ask the rep for samples and try them... she can get samples of any products.

my mother in law has used mary kay for years....i used to. i would say mary kay over avon. but that's just my experience....looking at the prices of make up these days i would say that it's worth it because it's a good product. you can probably buy cheaper makeup but it would be bad to your skin.

Does make-up make people have oily skin? Which make-up is the best to use? My hubby says I look pretty without make-up and that I don't need it, to look pretty.
By jillybean_108
Make-up will not give you oily skin, but if your skin tends to be on the oily side and you want to wear a foundation, go for an oil-free one. After applying foundation use a powder (either pressed or loose) to set it. You know, I am one who believes that when you wear make-up you shouldn't look all made up. Your husband is onto something as less can look better than too much. I almost always choose soft colors that compliment my skin tone, versus brighter colors. The exception to that rule is in the eyeliner I wear. I have green eyes and love the look of navy pencil eyeliner or green pencil eyeliner. That is my one "pop" of color that I do on myself.

Kayceecat is like our own personal makeup consultant! I don't wear makeup either unless it's a special occasion. It just seems so time consuming to do daily. I've always felt this way even before I had kids. I also avoid color because I don't like how it looks on my brown skin. I stick to natural colors and a little shimmer but not too much since I have oily skin. Although I don't wear makeup much I love Bobbie Brown products because they match my skin perfectly and it's very hard to find products for brown skin.

Blush is meant to give a rosy kind of glow to your cheeks, like you look when you come in out of the sun. I'll have to dig deep into the brain to recall all those tips that I learned. If you like fragrance but find that it does not last long on you, layering the fragrance will help. use a fragranced body lotion and then the perfume over it, or you can use a scented body oil from the same fragrance line(if they make one in your fav. fragrance) in lieu of the perfume. Hair spray is great for removing ink stains from various surfaces. Just put some on a cloth and dab at the stain.

I have to agree with you. I was the same way in school. I played sports and didn't care what everyone said about me, and now I don't know how to put make up on either. I think the latst time i wore make up was my wedding day 12 yrs ago.LOL

Now that's a great tip! Know any other goodies? like, is blush really necessary or is that just to make my cheeks puffier?

I don't even know how to put make-up on myself. When I was growing up I was never much into to make-up, and all of that girly stuff. I played sports and work, not really caring what I looked like. I got made fun of alot so I didn't think anybody care about me or what Iooked like. So I just want without learning. I wish I would have thought differently about now.
