Apply red lipstick
FamilyHost_Pat - January 05, 2009
Take a look at the step-by-step video (http://family.go.com/hot-topics/article-hw-616334-how-to-apply-red-lipstick-t/) on applying red lipstick. Did you know there were multiple steps? Would you wear red? Do you have time in your day for this?

I dont do red...on my lips anyway! LOL, but, when I wear lipstick seems like everyone notices.....what's going on? Why are you wearing makeup? Am I supposed to dress fancy for this? Mom, can I wear jeans?
Lip liner, oooh just discovered it and LOVE it....it can make a pout look poutier and boy oh boy xrated thoughts hit hubby's mind almost instantly!!!
Some days I do it just to get his attention "QUICKLY"....LOL....it can make a man jump through hoops ladies...and shhhh dont tell, I've been doing it a lot lately :)

Well I've never worn red lipstick. Brown skin and red lips is not that good a look, LOL! I LOVE my Bobbi Brown rose sugar shimmer lip gloss. It's compliments my skin and the shine is oh so HOT! I also pair it with liner so it lasts longer. I always make sure I wear it when hubby and I go out for date night :-)

I don't do red but I do love to fancy myself up with a good liner and splash of color!
You are so right about the hubby! The moment the lipstick goes on the light in his eyes changes- LOL
I have to say though if I am heading out to the grocery store or on errands I mostly just wear chapstick.

You're a hoot! That reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend once. We were back at work after summer break and everyone was comparing tans. I said to her "I don't tan I brown" and I showed her how much browner my arms were than my back. She then laughed and said "Well I don't tan I just burn" and showed me her very red back. She actually told me she has to use baby sunblock because she is so fair skinned. Now I wonder if there is anyone who actually wears red lipstick and looks good in it.

I would only wear red when I have a tan, it does make my lips pop. I do take several steps when applying any lip color, just to make it stay longer and not *run*. As for now I use a nude color lipstick. I am trying to tone it down a bit lol

LOL, that reminds me of my best friend in High school. She's a Michelle too....she always browned and I always burned. We were glued at the hip and they always got our last names mixed up. We actually fooled a new teacher and told her we were twins.Only difference was the last name. (Now mind you, She's African American and I'm Italian)We called each other's mom,mom of course. They always introduced us together as their daughters too. Poor thing actually asked in the teacher's lounge if we were related! I'm a brat you know?

I used to work in a cosmetic department and did learn to wear red lipstick. I don't wear it very often, but here's a tip I learned for toning it down a bit. Apply the red (and there are lots of different reds-blue based and yellow based) and then apply a gold colored lipstick over the top of it. The gold works wonders for making the red look good.
