No! You are definately not the only one! We've had a moody girl for about 4 years now. It always gets worse around that time of the month. I think it is the hormones kicking in. Plus in our house weve got sibling rivalry which doesn't help. Also it could be your daughter displaying her independence, my daughter does that too. Not acceptable?
I am thinking this must be pretty much the norm. I went through it with my oldest step-daughter, not the other step-daughter, but then again with both my own girls when they hit about 13. It is very frustrating, but just be patient with them and remind them that their behavior is not very very nice. That seemed to help some. I really don't think they realize how they are behaving until you point it out. Not acceptable?

My daughter just turned 13 2 days ago. But she has had the pms changes happening for about a year. She is our only child which I think makes it worse because she and I just totally but heads. We are so much alike it is scary. I am trying to be there for her in a positive way but man sometimes it is just so hard. I am going through menopause my self. So with both of us going through hormonal changes, it's like two monsters in the house. My husband tries to stay at the fire station as long as he can some days. Not acceptable?
We are in the same boat! My 15 yr old daughter is like night and day. One minute she is fine and then the next she is an emotional basket case. If I look at her wrong she either gets mad or cries. I believe alot of it has to do with that time of month but some of it is not. I try real hard to give her her own space and to let her be herself but I don't think that she even knows who she is. I could use some words of wisdom as well. Not acceptable?
When life gets you down, just put on your big girl panties and deal with it!! :)

I am glad to know I am not alone ... my eleven year old is in her room as I type for being so mean and mouthy! I have no clue how to control her and asking at her annual physical did not give me much help! Any advice would be great! Not acceptable?
