As a 13 year Flight Attendant and always having Military personnel on my plane. The first thing I do when the plane is loaded and the door is closed and before I make my safety briefing I ask for all of the passengers attention. Then I tell them that we have Military on the plane and ask for a moment of silence and then we need to give them a round of applause for everything that they do for our country everyday. Then what I do by myself I pack them up goodies bags filled with snacks from our airplane and give that to them to share with there other military groups and thank them personally and give them a kiss and hug and say thank you and give them my cell # to give to there family so if there family needs anything to call me and I will be more than glad to help them!! Also when I am out of uniform and I see somebody in uniform I go out of my way to shake their hand and give them a kiss and hug (I make my son due the same) and thank them for everything they do and then give them some money!! I am a huge supporter of the troops and I am teaching my son to be the same way and how important they are in our country!!!

That is pretty exceptional...more people should try to realize that yes the war has it's pros and cons but the young men and women even the 20 yr career set personnel put their lives on the line daily for our continued safety. My fiance will finally be at home for the holidays because his tour of duty was up in th Navy. But, its little things like this that will slowly turn the world into a better place...

What a beautiful thing that you are doing. I know that means so much to our men and women in uniform. My husband came home for R&R through Dallas and he could not believe the people that were there waiting to greet a plane of soldiers. He was in shock and it made him feel so good that people still cared about them. Keep up the good work. It means a lot to the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and to this Army wife. Thank you.
