So I have been hearing a lot about this lately and would like to know what others feel on the subject. Some stay at home moms are beginning to institute nap time where for an hour and a half a day they all lay down and nap together. It gives them the chance to all get recharged (mom and kids), but also to reconnect with each other. As we know SAHM are a busy bunch all day long so a nap isn't always possible. But I think personally this is a great idea, though I am always looking for an excuse to nap :) What do you think? Not acceptable?
That's what I think. You could get so much more done and feeling refreshed and awake instead of dragging all afternoon. Granted, you wouldn't need four hours, but a two hour time frame, that's perfect to rest and rejuvenate for the evening. All those sports, games, dance classes may be anticipated instead of "augh, gotta run again". We all feel like that at times but that nap may deter the feeling

LOL...daddy is the same way that's for sure. He won't even wake daddy from a nap anymore mommy has to do it. I think we need to take lessons from other countries and incorporate nap times in for everyone so people can rejuvenate. That would be so cool.
LOL good thing he learned that lesson early. A woken little one is a cranky little one and I have found that true no matter who the child is......and a lot of adults too!

Appreciate the naps while you can. When they stop it can definitely make the day much longer...my husband works all day and then goes to college nights. Talk about a long day. Thankfully babygirl still takes one and big brother will rest and be quiet during that time. One day he woke her up and she never went back to sleep. Needless to say that evening he was like,"I'm not EVER waking her up early again. She is so CRANKY!" LOL he learned his lesson.

I'm very thankful that he has shown no interest in stopping napping. I'm hoping we can continue for a while longer. My husband gets home pretty late so I don't mind the long naps since he can stay up late to see Daddy.

You are so lucky that he still loves to nap! Not acceptable?
That is so great! I did the same when they were babies, but my youngest stopped napping all together at 18 months so I miss those days!

Every afternoon Monday thru Friday, after lunch we all lay down to rest. My daughter falls asleep and my son's only requirement is to keep it quiet and rest. Sometimes he falls asleep too. Sometimes, mommy falls asleep and boy do I wish that was every day!:) Not acceptable?

We've actually always done this. When he was a baby, I wouldn't lay down every time he napped, but as he got older and moved to a once a day nap, I definitely napped with him. Now he's in a great routine that after lunch we head upstairs to Mommys room. One (short) story and one song later, we're off to dreamland. It makes such an awesome difference at surviving the day!
