NFL's Last Undefeated Team
FamilyHost_Tom - October 23, 2009
The Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos are the last unbeaten NFL teams. This week, the Colts play the St. Louis Rams in St. Louis , the Saints play the Miami Dolphins in Miami, the Vikings face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh, and the Denver Broncos have a bye week. Who do you think, besides the Broncos, will still be undefeated after this weekend? Which of these teams do you think will be the last undefeated team this season?

You can probably guess who I'm picking. Having a bye week puts them at the head of the list because they don't have to plan anyone else, and the other teams could lose. We can almost give the Colts a pass since they play the pitiful Rams. Saints should handle the Dolphins. Vikings might have trouble with Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has become pass happy, and while the Vikes are really good against the run, I think they can be had with the pass. I'm think that the Vikings might lose this weekend, but all three teams COULD win. But I'm hoping the Broncos are the last unbeaten team. After all the critics bashed them all season, they are the Cinderella story no doubt.

The Vikings dropped from the undefeated crowd, leaving just three teams undefeated. The New Orleans Saints pulled off a major comeback to defeat the Dolphins. This week, the Colts host the 49ers, and should remain unbeaten. The Broncos have a tough task of facing the Ravens in Baltimore. New Orleans is facing the rival Atlanta Falcons. I wonder if we'll still have three unbeatens after this week.

The Broncos lost this past weekend, leaving the Colts and the Saints as the only undfeated teams. Who will be the last team standing?

Well, with the Broncos now having a 6-1 record, either the Colts or Saints will be the last undefeated team. Either is fine with me, I like Manning and I like Brees. Brees hasn't gotten the kind of press he deserves. The guy is a pretty amazing QB. Both teams are pretty much assured of the playoffs and having a pretty good season.

Ok I say it will be the Colts ... the last undefeated team! Do the Cols play the Saints any time soon or at all?

I'm pretty sure they don't. The Colts are AFC and Saints are NFC, and I don't remember that they are on each others schedule. Maybe they'll meet in the Super Bowl. Wouldn't that be something!

It's a possibility since New Orleans is an NFC team and Colts are an AFC team. But I don't see the Saints going undefeated. I don't see it happening to the Colts either, although they have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way. Only two teams have gone through the regular season undefeated, the 72 Dolphins and the 07 Patriots. And only the Dolphins won out, but there were only 14 games in the season back then, and of the teams they played, only one had a winning percentage better than .500.

That was a really good game though! You mad at Belichick for not punting and going for the first down at 4th and 2 at the 28? I think it was the right call, though in hindsight it wasn't. You have a really good offense, Manning had already shown he could march on your defense. I think he had guts. If the receiver hadn't bobbled the ball, he would have been a hero, because that would have ended the game with a first down.
