How do you deal with working outside of home but at the same time wanting to be with your child? My son has chronic illnesses especially when it starts to get cold and lately I just want to stay home with him instead of going to work. We just got discharged from the hospital over the wkend and he is still on oxygen and being feed through his gtube w/meds every 8 hours. So anyways .. how do you maintain the urge to want to stay home but also go to work?

I worked from home for a long time, so I was at home with my child but I was also able to bring in a little money. Of course I had days where I wished I could just be at a job where I can talk to other adults. It was mainly on those 'off' days. I think as a mom you want to be there for your children but you also crave the 'outside' world! We will also have that guilty feeling no matter what we decide, that is just the mom in us! Maybe try to go part-time for a while and see how that works out?
