New Year$ Re$olution$
FamilyHost_Annabelle - December 27, 2008
We all make them, we all break them, especially when it comes to our budgets. Last year I actually kept a resolution and kept track of how much money I saved by using coupons ($537.25).

What money-saving resolutions are you making for the new year? What will you do to make sure you're successful? Let's dish about it!

LOL, Wanna Race? Oh, I hope I can get enough stashed away! I have decided this is the year to pull off surprises for the family. So, I have really been researching all kinds of ways to save. I'm hoping that all this saving will add up and I'll be like a super hero! Such a dreamer :)

That's how I got my first $15. Hoping to add more every other week (when Hubby gets paid) Already have it figured out and I know when he gets paid next week my groceries will cost about $60, before coupons. So, pending what sale prices are when I go....I may be able to add more. Time will tell.....

I am going to try out that idea of keeping a record of coupon savings! It should help me make sure to use them too! I'll start today since I just got back from the first shopping of the month/year. My main goal this year is to pay off credit cards. We are going to limit outings and grabbing "snacks" from fast foods while we run errands. Hopefully this helps a little.

That is what I started doing and hoping to do. We only have 2 credit cards and we will try to have those paid for by summer. Just have to stick with all the tips and tricks I learned here!

That's a great idea! Also, when you go out shopping and don't go to the fast food place, you can take the money you would have spent, and put it in a piggy bank. At the end of the month, just deposit it into the checking account and put it toward your credit card bill.

Last January my uncle quit smoking. He had been smoking over two packs a day at $5 per pack. He took that money and put it into a savings account, and after accumulating $4,000, he bought his whole family a trip to WDW!
