Have you ever looked online to see if they have a cheapcycle in your area? This is a online place where people post items for sale. I have found alot of stuff for my kids on these sites. Beings I have 5 children we love to bargain shop and have found very nice name brand clothes for very reasonable prices. Or you can try ebay that is a good place to buy and you can always look before bidding.

that won't work for us ... it's not trendy my daughter wants ... she wants comfy ... won't even wear a pair of jeans! Not acceptable?
Have you considered shopping at some of the local thrift stores or consignment shops? I know it sounds silly but a lot of times you can find some really cool or unique items there. She might be able to completely accent her look in a way that the mall just can't provide. Plus, since prices are generally low, you could give her a budget and let her pick her own clothes (within reason). Giving her that freedom over her look may help the shopping experience go smoother.

I assume your preteen or tween is very trend contious. My daughter is 7, looks 10 and love fashion. I set guidelines for her - like no short shirts that show your stomach, no off the shoulder shirts etc.. there is so much trashy stuff out there, and these kids need guidance. If you're price contious you should check out Old Navy, they have a lot of great sale items - always, and they are trendy with out being sleezy. I just found a website or blog actually, that shows nice clothes for girls - clothes on sale for under $10, it's not really trendy but it's stylish. http://girlsclothesforless.blogspot.com /

I could try it but she is so picky ... no jeans, no buttons, no collars, no pink, no words, no peace signs. Oh my gosh I could go on!! Not acceptable?
