When does your decorating begin?
rachinate - November 18, 2008
As with most things, we tend to be last minute about getting the outside lights up (not to mention the tree decorated).

When do you put up the lights? When are you planning to get your tree?

I'm hoping some friendly pressure will help me kick things into gear...

And, please share photos of your hard work!

Hi all! We have a family tradition of putting the Christmas decorations up Thanksgiving night after we have recovered from the meal of the year:) And then they come down the first week of the new year. It's nice to have the bright colors and warmth of the decorations when it is so bitter cold and drab outside.

That looks great! You should try to find a way to write the year on the bottom of each year so you remember the order in which you collected them.

I have to say that I found two more items for my village on clearance yesterday. I just could not pass it up. I will just have to store it with the rest for next year :)

I don't blame you! I would really like to have my tree up on Thanksgiving! We are holding the dinner at our house this year, so it would just set the right tone...or I think so anyway :)
