Don't just string lights around a tree in a circular fashion. Work the string into the center toward the trunk, and then out again to the ends of branches. That will create depth. It works equally well with your Christmas tree and outdoor trees and bushes.

I like to have some decorations that overlap holidays so I can get extra use out of them. You can get wreaths and candles in colors that work for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Or maybe some silvery decorations that can work for Christmas and carry through January. It gives our family more time to enjoy them and cuts down on the time I need to decorate.

I found these pretty candle holders at a yard sale for $.50. I loved them because the colors are perfect for Christmas (green and gold) but the pumpkin decoration on the side was great for autumn and Thanksgiving.

I like to wrap a lighted green garland around the stair rail in the house and between the slats on the railing I hang acrylic icicles down from there with ornament hangers.

I like a tree with lots of lights. I try and keep it to red and green lights and use lots of candles.

I agree. I can't get enough of Christmas music. A local radio station plays Christmas music straight through Thanksgiving to Christmas. I love it and have all the radios in the house set to it.

My son was sweet enough to make me a Christmas CD. He combined old and new in one, I love it :)

I try to make as much as I can myself when it comes to Christmas decor. Here is a picture of some wall art I made from a Disney Plastic canvas book I purchased.
