Now is a great time to look for Christmas decorations at yard sales and thrift stores. Folks are clearing out their basements and their junk can be your treasure!

Check out Dollar stores and thrift stores for ribbons, decoration, etc., now. This way you get a great deal and have your supplies when you need them.

Stock up on picture frames now so you will have them when the holidays come around. Pictures always make a great gift!

Gift tip: Make a beanbag, to make a hand warmer. Use wool or felt material, but instead of filling the bags with beans, fill them with ceramic pie weights. To use these toasty treasures, simply microwave them for a couple of minutes and then slip them in your pockets.

I have tried my hands at jelly or jam only twice so far and I was not to happy. I will try again this year :)

That's awesome, Pia! My mom does that with strawberries. She'll make jars and jars and use them for gifts at the holidays.

Gift tip: If you grow your own garden, make a gift basket to include your goodies! I love getting homemade pasta sauce or salsa!
