One of my favorite things at bridal showers and weddings is to hear the story of how the happy couple met. Usually the story is cute or funny and provides an insight into their relationship.

Met My Prince. Many moons ago in a far, far away land. My Prince spotted me with girlfriends at a night club dancing and having a good time. He was with his friends and was to shy to even ask me to dance. Months went by. After a night of downing many mugs of liquid courage my princes saw me again at another nigh club this time he asked me to dance. We hit it off and had a great time the whole night. So I thought. The night was over and I offered him my phone number he said "no thanks we will meet again." He left and I was confused. My prince was already in a relationship and that night having to much liquid courage knew he would forget or lose my number. Months go by yet again. My prince is now single and I was out at a local drink hole with out my girlfriends . I was standing by the dance floor watching the people having fun. A man in a pink shirt comes up behind me and says "do you live near...?" I made a B line for my car. A casual friend of his and mine (we didn't know at the time this friend know both of us) stoped me and asked if was OK. He explained to me that my prince was a good guy, just not that good with pick up lines. He sat us down for drinks and we talked. My Prince remind me of the night we danced the night away and explained why he didn't want my number. Then he would stop talking about this great new Movie Jurassic Park. I finally said yes to a date to see the movie. Movie night was magical I'm not sure what it was but, after our first kiss I knew I was going to marry him. Three months later he asked me to marry him. Now 15 years later and two wonderful children. He still sets for my fireworks.
My husband to be was on a spontanious road trip up in the pacific north west area. I had just moved down to Idaho from Alaska almost three months previous. Things did not work out for me the way I thought they would in Idaho but I felt the need to stay. I had a lot of good opprotunitys to leave town but i just could not. The night i met my man I got off work at 1:00 A.M. and just wanted to go fall into bed i was really exausted, working two jobs almost full time. But I felt like I had to go to my fav. bar and see this great local band I knew was playing that night. As soon as I walked in we spotted each other. He asked me to dance and after that we started taking. We talked till 3:30 or so before we went back to his hotel room. He was a perfect gentleman. He stayed in town a week taking me out every night and spending every moment with me that I was not working. After a week he said he had to go home to Colorado. I could not let him leave with out me ( It was love at first sight after all) So I went home with him even though every one I know told me I was crazy. And we have been together ever since. I gusse when you know, you know. Oh and get this the Bar where we met Is called The last chance saloon (LOL) Ironic no? Not acceptable?

High School Sweethearts, Yes its true I met my husband my freshmen year. We had one major thing in common we both loved performing arts. I was in dance and he was in singing and theatre...well I saw him in theatre class when I stopped by to see a friend of mind. When I as him I thought that I should enroll if there were guys like that in there...hahaha So I enrolled and we actually became close friends. It took him a year to ask him out, but it was worth the wait. We got to learn so much about each other. Once we started dating we both knew that it was right. On my graduation day he got down on one knee, and though I knew it was going to happen sometime, it still took my breath away. We've been together now 12 years..and married for 7 of that. We have a beautiful daughter, and I can't wait to see what else the future has for us. Not acceptable?

After awhile, I just knew I HAD to meet him, So after a few months of chatting online and on the phone, we meet. It was love at first signt. With a rose in hand he swept me off my feet, I didnt have a chance. So, 2 years later here we are about to get married :) Not acceptable?
