One of the great joys of marriage is being able to share the same space with your significant other. But, sometimes, you have very different ideas of what decorating means. Perhaps you have a vision of perfectly coordinated, Martha Stewart-worthy curtains and pillows, while he wonders what's wrong with covering the walls in sports pennants?

How do you balance your decorating tastes? Does your spouse ever want to have a say in the room? Share your pictures and words of wisdom here!

Oh dear, these rooms are not near as bad as I expected. My husband likes the video game Halo and everything related. Well, to compromise he's got his posters and such hanging in one area in our bedroom. Hey, it keeps it out of the eye of other people. LOL. But I do feel it is so pathetic I will spare the pictures.

Never thought about it but you are right!! LOL - Its no longer this ugly color, I waited 2 weeks and then I had enough and repainted. I tried taking a picture but the wall color is not showing up right, its a sage color. A lot better on the eyes and nerves lol

I know this may sound impossible but hubby and I share in all the decorating decisions. We love HGTV and DIY network and are always getting ideas and changing something in our home. This is a pic of our dining room.

It's great that both of you are interested in your home's appearance. I love the dining room!

Don't feel bad, my hubby is a big Nascar fan and has a bunch of collectables on a huge shelf. When my oldest moved out I moved the shelf into the empty room :x

Ok, you asked for it. This first picture is of a shelf with action figures called Gundhams on it. Maybe one if the guys knows the importance of these action figures, I just dont get it. Then you can see a poster of the Dark Knight in there too. Don't get me wrong, great movie, but I don't woant that poster hanging in my livingroom.

Now, here comes the next picture with the Halo video game stuff. Please notice the soda bottles on the windowsill. One is Halo 3 and one is Punisher. I don't have curtains on THAT window so that he can put his toys on it. Note: this is all stuff he collects, it all goes unopened. I guess he will always be a kid at heart.
