Spontaneous Road Trips
FamilyHost_Tom - October 30, 2009
How many of you have spontaneously decided to take a road trip, packed, loaded and were on your way within a couple of hours? Perhaps "spontaneous" for you requires a day or two in order to adjust schedules and alter appointments. Let's talk about how often we've been spontaneous in our decisions to take a trip.

We did that a few times before our son was born. We'd come home from work on a Friday and say "let's go somewhere". It was nice when gas prices were cheaper and we could live on a less scheduled timeframe. One time we just drove west into the mountains of Pennsylvania to take in some of the foliage. Another time we decided it would be fun to do the 4th of July in Boston and just headed up 95.

When our kids came along, that also cut down on spontaneous trips. With babies and children, preparation is essential! :)
