Spring Break
FamilyHost_Cheryl - March 12, 2009
My kids and I have spent our spring break shoveling out from the snow that fell on Tuesday and has blown every day since. Some are lucky enough to be in a tropical place for their break, well as close as I am getting to tropical is turning up the heat in the house. The snow was really quite pretty and so I will take a photo of it tomorrow and post it here so you can see what our spring break has entailed. That, and the kids sleeping late, playing video games and watching college basketball on television. How are you and your kids spending your spring break? Upload your photos of how you're celebrating your time off.

We've had great weather the past couple of weeks. I'm afraid that Mother nature is fooling the trees. This is a tree in my front yard. It has white flowers, green leaves opening, notice the purple clover coming up. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that probably we'll get a good snow sometime in April.

Hello Cheryl, sorry, had company during spring break and now I have Pneumonia!!

We HAD beautiful weather, had being the key word! Snow this past couple of days and then the wind. We'll see what this week brings! I'll share some pics, with the cousins in town the kids had a blast!

Here is one of many that I took at Legacy Play Village. This is a park, that the community built on volunteer hours. It is all wood and very unusual.

Here's a different park! We call this the tongue slide! Never had such neat playgrounds when I was little!

No kidding...we had a tree with a couple ropes and a tire as our playground. :) Although we did have a creek that was deep enough to swing out over the water and drop. I guess we enjoy our memories regardless of the toys and equipment.

I think back to the tall metal slides we used to have and think about how unsafe they probably were. Playground equipment has come so far since then. I wish I were a kid again.

We sued to build forts over the creeks by us. That brings back some fun memories.
