Show Us Your April Weekend
FamilyHost_Cheryl - April 04, 2009
What's on your weekend agenda? Mine involves working, cleaning, planning Easter's menu and working on dog obedience before class again on Monday. I thought it might be fun to share to share photos from this weekend with the group, so get out those cameras and document your weekend.

We took advantage of the warm weather and went down to visit the Cherry Blossoms in DC. It was windy the day we went (Friday). It had been raining in the morning but when the sun came out we decided to take advantage of it. They do a parade on Saturday and a run on Sunday, so we knew the city would be jam-packed both of those days. So we snuck down Friday afternoon for a few hours.

Here's a picture of the Washington Monument. I took it while we were sitting in traffic.

And one more traffic picture of the Jefferson Memorial. Usually they let the paddleboats out on the Tidal Basin but it was too windy on Friday.

I have always wanted to experience the Cherry Blossoms in DC. I wish my husband and sons had an interest in seeing them. Thanks for posting the beautiful picture.

Last weekend I was in Colorado to play for a wedding. I saw my grand daughters, who were having a great time at the reception dancing and eating and driving my son nuts because they were running all over. Here is Kennedy Michelle, a high energy 2 1/2 year old.

Wow, is she beautiful! Tell your son she'll be driving him even more nuts when she grows up! I've told my own daughter I might just have to lock her in the closet and beat the boys off with a stick! That's what you get when you've got beautiful babies :o)
