Last Christmas season I wanted to make a garland for my front door. I went with a friend to one of the local craft stores and browsed their displays and saw a garland I fell in love with. The display did not have a list of directions or supplies needed and so I took out my digital camera and took photos of it. I wanted to know what to buy without having to keep going back to the display as well as remember what it looked like to create the garland. You should have seen some of the looks I got from a few nearby shoppers. It made me feel as though I did something wrong taking the photos of the garland. I can see if this were at a craft show and I took photos of someone's work to bring it home and do it myself, but this was a craft supply store where I bought all the supplies there to make what I saw on display. What do you think: Was I wrong to take the photos or not? Not acceptable?
I believe that you were perfectly fine taking your photo. People were probably just staring because they hadn't thought of it themselves. Not acceptable?
