How Often Do You Take Photos?
FamilyHost_Cheryl - June 06, 2009
Other than taking photos of my youngest son in all his sports competitions, I have not been taking everyday pictures very often and am vowing to change that starting tomorrow. How often do you take pictures of the kids, the dogs, the spouse, etc? Do you carry your camera with you whenever the family goes anywhere, just in case there is a photo opportunity? I really do need to change my photo taking habits and thought I'd throw these questions out there to give me a kick in the rear to get started capturing those moments before the kids are all out of the house and I lose the chance.

Cheryl,
Get that camera in your purse, NOW!!!!!!!!!! In some e-mail questionnaire about me, my friends all said that if on a deserted island I would have my camera and completed albums!!!!

Yes, I take 1 of 3 cameras with me where ever I go. I'm proud to say my daughter has caught the same bug! On her 5th grade trip to the amusement park hers was the only camera!

I take daily pictures of life, school events, hail storms, shed building, new kitties, you name it! I even got a new pocket size water proof, shock proof, freeze proof camera for the pool and cruise next summer! Oh watch out now!

Start clicking that camera, hugs, Carrie :)

Okay, I put the camera in my purse. Now, if my boys start calling me the paparazzi, what should I do?

Where will you be cruising to next summer?

I have my camera with me practically all the time. I've actually started looking at a newer, more compact camera to keep in my purse with me constantly. The big SLR is nice but it can be quite a bit to lug around, so I'd really like something I can just throw in my pocket if we want to head off to the park or take a walk around the neighborhood.

I carry my digital camera and my flip video camera in the glove compartment of my car, so I'm ready to shoot if I see something that I really want to remember. I've grabbed some fabulous shots of sunsets on the run like that.

My Lumix camera is not as tiny as some of them, but it fits in my purse or a jacket pocket easily. I've been really happy with it.

So is the flip video as great as I have been hearing? Over the last 6 months or so, I have heard a lot of people talking about them. It's amazing how small that video camera is.

I'm at camp this week leading worship. To start the time each evening, I do a slide show of kids and events that happened that day. I use my digital camera, my iphone, and have my flip video cam in my pockets all day long and have enjoyed getting so many shots. Here are a couple of the kids having fun.

I really love the flip video. It's been great for incorporating video into our Worship services. Interviews with church members, my own scenery scenes behind lyrics. The quality is very good, and you can take it anywhere. You can get stills from the clip too. And the cost is/was $75.00. I don't take more than an hour of video anyway, so thats fine with me. And it is so easy to transfer to my computer. Just pop out the usb port and it plugs right in, no cords needed.
