This is Copper. He's part Daschund, and is very curious about everything. He has a toy doll that has been chewed and savaged for over a year. It's primarily hard rubber. He keeps it near all the time and doesn't really like anyone touching it or handling it.

Too cute! My Weezer feels the same way about his stuffing less toy he has with him at all times. And if you try to pick it up he will pounce on it and run away.

Maybe it is the same feeling like when someone reaches to grab your cell phone and you snatch it away. Nothing personal you just don't want anyone to touch it lol.

LOL...I think you've hit on the answer. We are ALL instinctive to some extent. When someone grabs something that belongs to us, our instinct is to get it back.

LOL...I think you've hit on the answer. We are ALL instinctive to some extent. When someone grabs something that belongs to us, our instinct is to get it back.

I asked my girlfriend about her dog's favorite toys. She said they don't have any because they've chewed up pretty much everything that they play with. LOL! I guess she hasn't taught them how to take care of their toys!

We used to have a cat who had "his" blanket. If we moved the blanket, he'd search and meow and raise a ruckus until he got his blanket back. Reminded me of that Charlie Brown character.
