Unusual Pet Tricks
FamilyHost_Tom - November 21, 2008
We've seen the "Stupid Pet Trick" videos on TV. But in person, what have been the best tricks you've seen pets do? Share your stories and pics if you have them.

A few weeks ago, I was visting a friend who had their dog stand on his front paws and turn circles. I've seen dogs on their back paws, but not front paws. I don't really pay a lot of attention to those things, but I thought it was pretty unusual.

That is unusual! My dog I had as a teenager I taught to stand on his hind legs and box. He would bat his paws like he was a boxer challenging you to a fight, cutest thing ever though I am biased :)

One lady I knew taught her parrot to greet specific friends who would visit. They would walk in the door and the parrot would say, "Hello Jim. How are you?" I wouldn't even know HOW to go about teaching that kind of thing to a bird.

I think that would creep me out if I walked in and the bird greeted me....just doesn't seem natural!

She said that people would look around to see who was greeting them, overlooking the bird the first time or two. :) Just the mental picture cracks me up.
