I remember rough-housing with our dog when I was a kid. he would jump on me, we'd roll around, then he'd tease and move in and out of range, make me chase him. I wore out sooner than he did.

My dog will play fetch till my arms falls off and when I stop he plays fetch with himself. We run, he plays a form of tag and he loves to go hiking. He is a very outdoors kind of dog. I feel bad during the dead of winter and middle of summer when it is at it's coldest and hottest here because I won't take him out as much because I am afraid he will get sick.

It sounds like you have a great dog; just the kind that makes a wonderful pet. But it also sounds like he has lots of energy. I understand about him being able to wear you out!

My girlfriend has two small dogs, one is a dachund, and the other is some kind of yapping terrier mix. They are both hyper. You can't rough-house with small dogs, but I do play with these two. They have rags and rubber toys that you can play tug a war with. One of the dogs will calm down after a whie and he'll set in your lap and be petted. The other, however, is hyper bizzaro dog, he just can't be still and if you try to pet him, he wants to nip, thinking that you're playing.

Yeah he is a great dog, perfect personality. And can wear me out in no time, he never sits still when we get outside. And he will wear your arm sore if you play tug of war with him. For as little as he is, he is strong as an ox.

Here is a pic of Mac and Copper after they'd played tug of war with a toy until the toy tore in two. They looked at me as if to say, "What happened?" These are Mary's dogs.
