I've noticed that there is a lot more barking in our neighborhood on Halloween, and I would imagine that cats are pretty stressed out with all of the traffic and kids and noise. Not acceptable?
The constant doorbell and opening and closing of the front door always worried me the most. We don't hand out candy anymore, because we have a yearly tradition now that takes us away from home, but when we did, I was always so stressed out about the cat bolting. The dog, a pug who is no longer with us, used to get so stressed by the doorbell and knocking that he would just sit and cry for two hours straight. Halloween was not a favorite in this pet-friendly household. Not acceptable?

I can imagine...poor puppy. I imagine that there is a lot of the loosing of pets through opened doors while the tykes are on the front porch waiting for candy. Not acceptable?
