From folks I've talked too, its pretty rare for there to be an allergy that can't be deal with by some kind of medication. Not acceptable?

Fortunately we learned early on that my hubby, my son and myself all have allergies long haired animals, so the only pets we have gone with are rabbits and fish, and I'm quite content with those. My daughter doesn't have allergies and she is begging for a dog and its hard because I would like to get one, but if we got one and it was too much on our allergies I would definitely have to give it away. Not acceptable?

I know that's difficult saying "no" but you are quite correct. The heartbreak of having a dog and then having to give it up would be worse. Not acceptable?
